Carroll HARDIN was born April 1st, 1842, in Calhoun County, Mississippi. He married Nancy Louise Hannah. Mr. Hardin was wounded at Gettysburg, PA on July 1, 1863, at Falling Waters, Maryland on July 14, 1863 and during the Battle of the Wilderness in Virginia on May 5, 1864. He was the son of Ezekial Henderson Hardin (bn 1815, died 1884) and Amoritta Fondren (bn April 1819, died Feb. 4, 1871), both of whom are buried at Spring Hill Cemetery in Calhoun County. Carroll Hardin lost a brother, Coleman Hardin at the Battle of Shiloh on April 6, 1863. Carroll Hardin died August 27, 1905 and is buried at the Round Timber, Texas Cemetery.

My great-great grandfather William J. Killingsworth (full name William Jefferson Killingsworth) was born in Tennessee about 1830 to John and Phebe (_______) Killingsworth. The family moved to Chickasaw County, Mississippi about 1834. William Jefferson Killingsworth married, about 1852, Rebecca McGuire (1833-1896), daughter of Amos and Sarah (Langston?) McGuire. They had the following children:

Jan 1825; married 1 Jul 1877 Sarah Ann Young (1852-1943).

v. Willie Killingsworth

Corporal William J. Killingsworth was captured on July 3, 1863 at Gettysburg, during Pickett's Charge. He was interned at Fort Delaware, where he died on 10 Feb 1864 and where he is buried in a mass grave.
